Women's Assistant Alpine Coach

NYSEF seeks a well-rounded and experienced coach who understands alpine ski racing from an athlete’s perspective.

The successful candidate needs to understand the technology, technique, and physical and mental demands required for success at the FIS level. It is critical that this coach understands the development needs of high-performing athletes from the development ages through the collegiate and national team levels. This coach will work directly with NYSEF and Northwood School athletes at the FIS level and contribute to the overall development of the NYSEF alpine program - which oversees athletes from U10 to Post-Graduate and beyond. The ideal candidate will be able to connect with each athlete and bring together all athletes and their families to create a positive team culture that inspires each athlete to make their dreams a reality. Head Ski Jumping / Nordic Combined Coach

NYSEF seeks a well-rounded, experienced coach who understands Nordic sport from both an athlete and program management perspective to add to our talented coaching team and fill the position of Head Ski Jumping / Nordic Combined Coach.

This coach needs to understand the physical, technical, and mental demands required for success in ski jumping and Nordic combined. It is critical that this coach understands the development needs of high-performing athletes from the development ages through national team levels. This coach will work directly with NYSEF athletes at all levels and contribute to the overall development of the NYSEF Nordic program - which oversees athletes from U10 to Post-Graduate and beyond and trains primarily at the Olympic Jumping Complex in Lake Placid,
NY. The ideal candidate will be able to connect with each athlete and bring together all athletes and their families to create a positive team culture that inspires each athlete to make their dreams a reality. The candidate will contribute to creating a healthy environment by working closely with all coaches, staff members, parents, and supporters within the greater NYSEF community.

BELLEAYRE

Freeride: part-time ski and ride coaches

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): Working with athletes from ages 8 and older on the fundamentals of skiing as it relates to the terrain park. A background in competitive freestyle skiing and knowledge of the current state of the sport is a plus. The work schedule will be primarily during the weekend (with some weekdays and holidays) beginning in December through March. Pay is commensurate with experience and benefits include a season pass at all three Olympic Regional Development Authority (ORDA) mountains (Belleayre, Gore, Whiteface). Part-time alpine coaches

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): Working with athletes ages 8 and older on the fundamentals of skiing and alpine ski racing. A background in competitive alpine skiing and knowledge of the current state of the sport is a plus. Work schedule will be primarily during the weekend (some weekdays and holidays) beginning in December through March.  Pay is commensurate with experience and benefits include a season pass at all three Olympic Regional Development Authority (ORDA) mountains (Belleayre, Gore, Whiteface). Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): making sure the event or training environments are set and ready for athletes and officials, shoveling, resetting gates, shuttling equipment, overall course maintenance of the racecourse and/or breakdown of the course/venue at the end of the day. Must be able to ski and carry up to 50 pounds. This is a paid position. Other benefits include a season pass at all three Olympic Regional Development Authority (ORDA) mountains (Belleayre, Gore, Whiteface). SPANISH TUTOR

We are seeking experienced individuals looking to provide Spanish academic support in unison with the New York State curriculum - aligning lesson plans for student-athletes participating in the NYSEF Winter Term Program. Spanish teachers/tutors will engage in person to support student-athletes in completing assignments and support those fulfilling the speaking portion of lessons.
